The crystal clear waters of the Lac du Salagou make it a great place to swim, and if you're looking for a gay beach on the lake's shores, head to Plage des Celles. As the name would suggest, the gay beach is located by the town of Celles, which is a 45-minute drive from Montpellier. Many LGBTQ+ people frequent this part of the lake, and the area remains relatively serene and open, so you won't be overwhelmed by crowds.
The Presqu'île de Liausson, also on the Lac du Salagou, offers some great places to also connect with LGBTQ+ people who come to enjoy the serenity and beautiful panorama.
