Hanlan's Beach is a dreamy gay-friendly beach, located on the Toronto Islands, just outside of Toronto. Spilling onto Lake Ontario, this is a great summer destination to soak up some sun and freshen up in the clear waters.
While the beach isn't specifically gay, it attracts a lot of LGBTQ+ beachgoers thanks to its chill vibes, and the fact that it is clothing-optional. In fact, 1 kilometer of the beach was officially recognized as naturist-friendly way back in 2022. Hanlan's Beach is considered Canada's most gay-friendly beach, so if you're looking to drop towel (and maybe more) while up north, this is the place to be.
To reach Hanlan's Beach, take the Hanlan's Point ferry direct from Queen's Quay in Toronto. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the beach.
We would like to thank misterb&b member, Ali, for sharing this great gay beach suggestion with us.
