While Oxford Street is the pulse of LGBTQ+ life in Sydney, Lady Jane Beach has long been one of the city’s pivotal places for gay cruising, and it doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. The open and friendly crowd will make you feel right at home, so be sure to find your patch of sand and settle in for the day.
While the beach is not specifically gay and is sometimes frequented by a straight crowd, you can still enjoy a safe and welcoming atmosphere here any time of day. If you’re after more seclusion, we suggest heading a little further east from the main section of the beach. Lady Jane Beach is located by the South Head of the harbor and is a 15-minute walk from Watsons Bay Wharf.
