Alexandria Bay

Alexandria Bay is a small coastal town in the Wide Bay-Burnett region of Queensland, Australia. It is located about 350 kilometers (217 miles) north of Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, and is situated on the Great Sandy Strait, which separates the mainland from Fraser Island. The town is known for its beautiful beaches and nearby waterways, which are popular for swimming, fishing, and boating. The journey by car from Brisbane to Alexandria Bay typically takes about 5-6 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Alternatively, the nearest major airport to Alexandria Bay is the Sunshine Coast Airport, which is located about 80 kilometers (50 miles) to the south of the town. The airport is serviced by several domestic airlines and has regular flights to and from major cities in Australia, including Brisbane and Sydney. From the airport, you can hire a car or take a taxi to reach Alexandria Bay.
