Stephen and I love living here in Vancouver with our sweet cats, Sylvester and Rascal. I, Terry, am a retired Nurse Anesthetist so I'm home most of the time. The yard and deck area are my passion while Stephen makes the inside inviting and functioning well. Stephen is also retired now. He worked for Southwest Airlines for 18 years.
We have one guest room so can accommodate two people in beds and additional two on couches at $30/night including breakfast.
Ours is a very quiet neighborhood. After you get settled into your room, enjoy a pleasant time unwinding on the deck which is very peaceful and inviting. Hot tub is hot in the Winter and cool in the Summer. Hot tub and deck area are clothing optional.
Vancouver/Portland is the gateway to the Western Columbia River Gorge Scenic area which is full of wonderful hiking trails, waterfalls and nature at its best. Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens and the Pacific ocean are all about two hours distance from us. Vancouver is a great hub from which to visit all that our area has to offer.
We are within 30 minutes of most of the hot gay attractions in Portland. Clubs, restaurants, bath houses, etc. Darcell's is a must see. At 94, she is still going strong and was recently inducted into the Guiness Book of world records as the oldest Drag Queen still performing.
Don't miss out on Powell's Book Store in Portland, the world's largest retail book seller, or the rose gardens in Washington Park. Portland Zoo and OMSI, Chinese and Japanese gardens, Old China Town, Underground tour of Portland, Tom McCall water front park, Portland Trailblazers and Timbers soccer teams for the sports minded among us. After a busy day seeing it all, just click your ruby slippers and say, "There's no place like home, There's no place like home, There's no place like home and here you will be! Peace and tranquility and a sweet kitty to welcome you at the door. Ahhhhhhh, now don't you feel so much better? :-)
