Beyond the academy: I like and enjoy hiking, photography (hobby only, non-expert), wines, craft beers, whiskey, traveling, dining out (I love brunch on Sundays), among other things. I value appreciation for cultural diversity and respect for those who transgress the heteronormative.
Speaking between languages: I speak and understand Spanish and English, but for my daily exposure to technical language at the academy, I tend to be more fluent in Spanish, particularly with the topics that I love. But that does not limit me to talk colloquially or give recommendations in English. Sometimes, translating ideas that involve different idiomatic expressions is complex.
