I work in higher education in Toronto, and my job involves coordinating overseas courses for students to study and travel. I love it because I also love to travel and know the benefits to a person when they're afforded the chance to travel.
I like both vacations that are total relaxation (i.e. on a beach) and vacations that really let me immerse myself in the destination, pretending I live there. For this second type of travel, I prefer to spend more time in a place worrying less about visiting the "must-sees," and instead going with the daily flow of things.
I love to people watch and would be quite happy to spend an afternoon in a park reading a book, looking around, having a picnic (bonus if wine is involved!). This is especially nice if the night before involved more lively activity like going for drinks and dancing. I like a balance of high-energy and low-key times with perhaps the scales tipped to having more down-time.
Other things I enjoy: meditation, red wine, board games, the water (oceans, lakes, pools, etc), cooking, movies
