Welcome to the California II, your Mission Hills hideaway with stunning views ofdowntown San Diego, the bay, the airport, Point Loma, and even South Coronado Island off the coast of Baja on a clear day. Our completely remodeled home is ideally located less than ten minutes from the heart of San Diego, providing the perfect home base for your trip.
This two bed, two bath rental space was designed to cater to all types of groups traveling or looking for a place to enjoy in San Diego. The master bedroom boasts a queen bed, office area, flat screen TV, live plants and an incredible bathroom with a tub and a large walk-in shower. The second bedroom is equipped with two built-in bunk beds (three queen and one full sized mattress), and auniquely attached bathroom that has two showers to help everyone get started with their day as efficiently as possible.

Our duplex home features an additional rental on the upper level, each unit with its own entrance, hot tub, and deck. The lowest part of the backyard is occasionally shared between both units and has games like cornhole and bocce ball. Please let us know if you're interested in renting both units together!
Entry to this property is controlled by a smart lock. The morning of check-in, you will be sent an email with the smart lock code and any other relevant details for entry.
Mission Hills is a neighborhood in San Diego located on the hills overlooking Old Town and the San Diego Bay, just north of Downtown, west of Hillcrest and south of the San Diego River valley. It is one of San Diego’s oldest and most desirable neighborhoods. The area is primarily residential with some small shops and restaurants. It is one of the most architecturally impressive neighborhoods with many of the houses from the early 1900s, which have been carefully preserved and restored. Modern homes were built as infill along canyon rims in the 1950s and 1960s. Mission Hills is highly sought after with its stately homes, quaint Craftsman bungalows and large mansions pristinely manicured on quiet streets. The business district is home to a variety of restaurants, shops, pubs and services.

Top Suggestions:
- Stop for brunch at Cafe Coyote for an authentic Mexican experience (<1 mi).
- Enjoy stunning sunset views from Seaport Village (4 mi).
- Grab dinner at Ironside or Bencotto in Little Italy. Then, grab some ice cream at Salt & Straw (3 mi).
- Rent a bike and ride through the lush gardens, historic walkways, and numerous museums of Balboa Park (5 mi).
- Visit Coronado Island to enjoy the all-around views of the expansive beach, the iconic bay, and its picturesque small-town streets (7 mi).
- Spend some time soaking in the sun at La Jolla shores (10 mi).
- Catch a baseball game at Petco Park (6 mi).
A quick walk to Old Town San Diego for Taco Tuesday or a quick drive to everything San Diego has to offer. Tons of amazing bars and restaurants within a 15 min walk! Street parking is plentiful.
While my first priority is ensuring my valued guests enjoy their stay, I have an equally important commitment to the safety and comfort of my neighbors and community. Please read the following list of property rules prior to confirming your reservation. If you’re uncomfortable with these rules, I encourage you to please make alternate accommodations:

NoiseAware
We are utilizing a noise monitoring software in this property called NoiseAware. While NoiseAware is not a recording device, it does monitor noise levels to ensure they remain at a level that is respectful to our neighbors and to alert us of fire alarms while guests are not present at the property.

Hot Tub
If your stay occurs on a Friday, our hot tub tech will need to enter the home to get access the spa out on the balcony. You will not need to be there for it, but just want to let you know they have to come through the home.

GUEST
• For security purposes, guests who wish to make a reservation must have a completed profile on the booking platform, including a clear photograph of your face (so we know the person booking is in fact the person checking in).
• You must be at least 25 years old to reserve our property.
• Check-in is 4PM or later. Check-in instructions will be sent via email the morning of your stay
• No illegal activity or illicit substances are permitted on the premises: Doing either will result in eviction from the property, and may also result in law enforcement involvement.

PETS
• Unfortunately, we do not allow pets at the property.

DAMAGE
• We understand accidents happen. In the event of damage occurring at the property, we require that all guests report any and all damage during their stay, prior to check-out.

SMOKING
• Our property is 100% smoke free; including both private and communal areas, the unit itself and any other public areas within the building and the communal property regardless of whether inside or out. You must be totally off of the premises and on public property to smoke. If you're a regular smoker and feel you'll have a hard time following this rule we kindly suggest you look into another property. Evidence of smoking will result in a complete forfeiture of your security deposit.

EVENTS & GATHERINGS
• We have a zero-tolerance policy for noise complaints, parties or gatherings of any sort. Please respect our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum. QUIET HOURS are daily from 10PM-8AM.

SECURITY
• This property may implement video surveillance in outdoor public areas to ensure the safety and security of all guests. Additionally, this property may also use Noise Aware technology to ensure the comfort and security of our guests.

VISITORS
• We ask that all guests let us know in advance if they plan on having any visitors during their stay. You may not have additional guests unless previously authorized by the host.

FILMING & PHOTO SHOOTS
• If you or your company are interested in utilizing the space for film, television, music video or photo/film shoots of any kind, please contact us via the message portion of the site to discuss details, approvals, pricing, etc.

PLEASE NOTE
• Guest agrees to hold the Host harmless against any and all loss, claims, causes of action, demands and/or costs and expenses that may be incurred by the guests in relation to the unit rental. We cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items. Subletting the property is strictly prohibited.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
• We highly recommend our guests purchase travel insurance to protect them against any issues that would cause a guest to have to cancel their trip. InsureMyTrip offers plans from 21 different carriers, have an easy-to-follow website that allows you to compare and contrast each policy or e-mail details to yourself, and offer a wide range from standard policies to 5 star coverage. If you do a quick online search it should pop up.
