MTSU (Middle Tennessee State University University) is a quick 6-minutes/2 miles away, as well.
I would recommend driving or ridesharing around Murfreesboro. If you walk 0.75 miles South on N Maple street, you will arrive in town square which is the best walking spot in the city by far. Takes 3-minutes to drive there and parking is easy and free.
