Bunker Beach

“Bunker” (as it’s called by the LGBTQ+ locals in Rijeka) is a nudist beach in Preluk not far from Costabella. The beach is called Bunker because there are bunkers and is most interesting during the summer. It’s very popular and active in the summer, but also throughout the year - especially in the evenings. Although the beach is small and rocky, it’s one of the most popular gay beaches in Croatia with gays, bisexuals and lesbians often frequenting it.

To get there, take bus number 32 from Rijeka to Opatija or from Opatija to Rijeka. Get off the bus in the center of Preluk, where you'll see Autocamp Preluk and Fun Academy. If you are coming from Rijeka, walk back through the big curve, than turn down towards the seashore. Walk along the seashore and under the small tunnel.

Beaches and promenades are located in the eastern part of the town, close to the Preluk campsite. The can be reached by bus 32 which arrives at the Ban Jelačić Square in Rijeka or of course by car.
