Morning Tide Churchhaven

Pristine paradise in the West Coast National Park. This gorgeous cottage is a rare find offering tranquility and comfort in an untouched environment. Set in a small enclave just 2 minutes walk from the lagoon beach where soft white sand and azure coloured water will lure you to linger well into the day. Perfectly safe for all ages, the water is much warmer than the adjacent Atlantic Ocean. Your days will be filled with suntanning, swimming, kayaking, kiteboarding, sundowners and long walks along the beach and the unique floral paths. The National Park is abundant with wildlife, birds and fynbos, while the marine reserve is host to flamingos and a plethora of marine and bird life. Back at the charmingly furnished cottage you will find privacy and comfort and endless panoramic views.
The house has 3 large en-suite bedrooms and a 4th bedroom set off from the lounge. The two-tiered verandah has an outdoor firewood barbecue, large dining table and an outdoor covered seating area, as well as suntanning loungers under an umbrella. The beds are fitted with luxurious linen and soft enveloping duvets. The kitchen is fully equipped for a relaxed feast. The house works completely off the grid, using solar panels for battery-stored energy and gas heaters for water. The indoor wood-burning fireplace adds a lovely ambiance to the open plan living area. There is a hot outdoor shower for rinsing off after your day on the beach. Bath and Beach Towels and environmentally friendly amenities are provided. We do have wifi for those still wanting to connect to the outside world!
NB: Only cell phones, computers, music players and the like can be used in the plugs. NO hair dryers/curling irons, or any other appliances are to be plugged in as this could cause permanent damage to the electrical system
You have exclusive use of the entire cottage with private beach access
There are a limited number of privately owned cottages here so its very private and secure and you will have the beach to yourself most of the time.
Originally a small fisherman's village now a much sought after secluded holiday destination. The lagoon is pristine and bathing is safe. There is no access to non-home owners and no access to the beach for day visitors to the park, so you have the beaches to yourselves.
An ideal beach holiday throughout the year - take your bicycles, running shoes, hiking boots, sailing kit, buckets and spades and loads of reading material. The stunning views and home comforts in this exclusive environment will be embedded in your memory forever.
Hiking, walking,, running, biking, paddling and swimming are the things to do here. You can also take a short drive to Kraal Bay and the wild side of the park where you will find 16 miles of untouched beach. The Posberg Reserve is open during flowers season (August and September)
Please remember: You must arrive no later than 18:30 in Summer and 17:30 in Winter. The gates close after that and no entrance is allowed into the National Park.
This is an off the grid experience.
Remember to bring drinking water as the cottage runs off a borehole for the showers, washing up and toilets.
There are no shops or restaurants close by so you will need to bring everything with you.
There is an Park fee charged on arrival to the West Coast National Park.
